Blocked drains, jetting and CCTV inspection
We clear the blockage, then put a camera through to find out why it happened, because a drain that blocks once usually blocks again.
Blocked Drains & CCTV across the Hunter
A blocked drain is a symptom. Around the Hunter the cause is nearly always tree roots working into a joint or a crack in an old clay sewer line, and occasionally a collapsed section or something that should never have gone down there. Jetting clears it out and gets you running again the same day.
What happens next depends on what the camera shows. If the pipe is sound, a clean is the end of it. If the roots have found a way in, they will find it again, and we will show you the footage and talk through relining rather than book you in for the same job next winter.
- High pressure jetting to clear the line
- CCTV camera inspection with footage you can see
- Locating the blockage so nobody digs up the wrong spot
- Root cutting through the affected section
- An honest call on whether it needs a clean or a repair

From your first call to a drain that stays clear
A clear, straightforward process, so you always know what happens next.
Tell us what it is doing
A quick call or an enquiry with what you are seeing. Gurgling, backing up, slow, or a smell. It usually narrows things down before anyone comes out.
Camera down the drain
We run the CCTV camera through and record it. You see the same footage we do, so the quote is based on the actual problem and not a guess.
The honest option
Sometimes it is a clean and a jet. Sometimes the pipe is cracked and relining is the only thing that stops it coming back. We tell you which, and why.
Done and left clean
The work gets finished properly and the site gets left tidy. That is most of what our reviews actually talk about.
The rest of what Beau does
Pipe Relining
A cracked drain gets sealed from the inside with a new liner, so the roots have nothing left to grow into and the yard stays where it is.

Frequently asked questions
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. Quotes are free and there is no obligation. For drain work we would usually want to get the camera down there first, because quoting a blocked drain without seeing inside the pipe is guesswork.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Newbury Plumbing holds plumbing licence 455927C and is fully insured. Beau is also a member of the Newcastle Master Builders.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Seaham and work across Maitland, East Maitland, Rutherford, Thornton, Morpeth, Lorn, Bolwarra, Largs, Beresfield, Raymond Terrace, Clarence Town, Paterson, Dungog, Karuah, Medowie, Cessnock and Kurri Kurri.
What are your hours, and do you do after hours work?
Normal hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3.30pm. We do attend outside those hours, and anything outside them is charged as an emergency call-out. Give us a call and we will tell you honestly whether it can wait until morning.
What is pipe relining, and why would I need it?
Relining puts a resin liner through your existing pipe and cures it in place, creating a new pipe inside the old one. It seals the cracks and joints that tree roots get in through. It is the alternative to digging up the drain, which usually means breaking a driveway, path or garden and paying to reinstate all of it.
My drain keeps blocking. Why does it come back?
Because clearing a drain and fixing a drain are different things. If tree roots have found a crack in the pipe, a machine will clear them out and the roots will grow straight back through the same crack. That is why we run a camera through and show you the footage, so you can decide whether it needs a clean or the pipe needs sealing.
Do you do emergency work?
We attend outside normal hours as an emergency call-out. Beau is one plumber with an apprentice rather than a 24 hour call centre, so ring and we will tell you straight away whether we can get to you.
Need blocked drains & cctv sorted?
Ring Beau directly. If it can wait until morning we will tell you that.
